Default d15 and d16 timing belt the same?

friend of mine just snapped his timing belt on his 90 std hatch. I have a brand new d16a6 timing belt and water pump that I can give him. Just wanna make sure it would fit?

the 1.6 is slightly longer but will still work. the tensioner will take up the slack

The 1.6 is a tooth longer or so and the tension might take up the slack. On mine I had problems with it slapping the belt cover so proceed with caution!
