Could someone realistically get involved with competing in both organizations?

I know I have a few local SCCA autocrosses but I'm not sure about any NASA events.

yes, I have, and do..... Like many others.

 

oh yes you can. I have even seen and heard about people running the 1st AM group, then buzzing over to the other club's event over an hour away. Some have even done the triple, AM setup+run, buz to next event before reg closes. Then work+run. Blaze to the 3rd event run + breakdown crew.

 

I can only hope to have the time to be that committed someday!!

 

Yes, although running for a championship in both can be time consuming and difficult to schedule.

 

Well there is no local nasa region, but I have competed in all seven local events, two of five scr events and three of six buccaner fl events.

 

I do both. It's not that hard. Each organization has their own rules and regulations. Just make sure you don't mix them up

I autocross and about to do Solo I with SCCA, and HPDEs with NASA and hopefully someday run the Honda Challenge
