OK so winter just started and i just bought a B16 CRX and the heater wont blow hot air. When i turn up the fan it blows air just....not hot...or cold. I tried looking underneath the passenger glove box like that one topic said. But i dont see any valves or anything. Could it be possible that the owner removed the heatercore and the heater hoses?

im new to this heater thing so im probably gonna need pictures.
also my tachometer is jumping alot and im not sure if the Vtec is even kickin in because of this. how do i get that to settle down?

BTW: its a B16A1 motor

 

for heat i would make sure there is a thermostat in the car first and there is plenty of fliud in the coolent system.

as for the tac jumping around could be a bad cluster or something???Im sure if ya searched for my tac is jumping" something would pop up

 

look under the hood to the right of the fuel filter...you should see the heater hoses going to the firewall. one of them has a diverter valve that's hooked up to a cable. sometimes this cable pops off and you won't get heat without it. it's an easy fix if it's all still there. also, is your temp gauge coming up?

 

no my temperature guage wont go up past cold. it just stays down at the bottom. so i dont even know if its warmed up
