I picked up an itr head along with crane stg2's, springs n ti-retainers, itr intake mani, and 310cc prelude injectors for a great price. I do have 440cc injectors laying around. I usually deal with non vtec b18's, i race them circle track and dont know much about ecu's and mods to them.
The head came off of a fully built b20 that was in a 94 gsr and a p72 tuned with a hondata stage 2, which is pretty old i believe.
my questions are:
1) What ecu to use along with chipping/hondata? (on a budget)
2) What distributor to use?
3) What wiring is needed to run vtec?
It's going in a 93 rs
thanks all

If you already have hondata s200 theres nothing wrong with that. IIRC as long as you have an OBDI ecu your good, just chip it and get it tuned. Im sure you already know that a dyno tune would be better but if your a on a budget have someone do a good street tune for you and have fun.
When my motor is done I will be using Hondata S300 and getting it tuned on a dyno.

Well thats the thing, the p72 i have is already chipped for hondata, but its hondata "stage 2", not s200... I'm pretty sure nobody even tunes the hondata stages anymore

The p72 i have is already set up to use hondata, but its the old "stages" and im not too sure that if i bought an s100 or 200 that the plug is the same.
and wouldnt a 94-95 gsr dist work as well?

Oh yeah, and g0tgot, id like to know how to get ahold of that guy. Could someone actually chip an ecu with a base to make this run half way decent?
I picked up some arp head studs, samco hoses, and just a felpro full gasket kit. heads getting slapped on starting with teardown tomorrow. And i do have a walbro 255 that was going to be used in a turbo build, smart install?

pr3 heads are the same for b16 and itr where 94-01 gsr's are p72s.
the 92-93 gsr distributor would also work since its a pr3 head.

ahhhh, i see. That makes sense now thanks ill order that tomorrow.
So, wiring for vtec? Is it as easy as pin in ecu and running wire to solenoid, or more to it
