Default Restoring plastic molding and trim w/ a heat gun?

Anyone know EXACTLY how to restore trim and moldings with the use of a heat gun? Have heard of people using this method but I wanna find someone with first hand knowledge. Thanx.

What kind of trim exactly? The door trim and side skirts on my ek hatch were getting that dried out look and I was tired of putting tire shine on to make it look better. So, I went to home depot and bought some Plastic spray paint I believe. It comes in a blue can and can be found in the spray paint section. The paint is somewhat flexible, shockproof, and gives a kinda rubber grip. I have had no problems with it coming off and it has been on the molding for about 3 months now and looks great even when it gets dirty.

the heat gun is only to warm up the plastic to open the pores. try that, just enough to get it warm, then use BlackWOW or something of that sort on it. Or you could try foreverblack but that's a dye, not a dressing.
