I'm in the process of rebuilding my B17a, a buddy had an ITR intake manifold he didn't need so I'm planning on using that. I was bolting everything up and the intake manifold bracket won't fit right. It needs to come up about 1/8"-1/4" in order to line up with the holes in the back of the block. I have two IM brackets here (one should be the original from the b17a and the other should be from a b18a) and neither work.

I searched and saw that many people simply do not use the IM bracket, so I know that is an option, but at this point I'd prefer to use one. I also tried to look up part numbers and that got me nowhere.

Does anyone know if the two brackets are different fitment wise? Cause I can't see what else the problem could be.

bump, although I feel the boards are empty cause of the changes and irregularities...

 

Just leave it off the b17 im bracket and type r and gsr and ls are all different

 

i myself don't use it on my b17 but if u insist to use it then if the holes don't line up then just mark where the holes should be and drill out bigger holes then get the bolt with a thick washer and tighten the hell out of it..
