Default help with my 98 gsr

my car seems to drive fine before but for some reason when i use the signal light it dies on me.. i also notice alot of power loss in my car after the first time it died on me. like up a hill id go into gear 2 or 3 but last time i took her out i had to go into gear 1 its messed up. iunno today i warmed her up and just to make sure it runs still. while parked i turned on my signal light towards the right and noticed my tac jumped up a bit and wouldnt go back down... then after clutched and into gear and when i clutched the engine died and most of my power options. only thing that i noticed that was still running was my deck.. anyone know what it could be? it wont start back up again. not till after like an hour? does anyone know what it could be or has ran into this problem?

check your alternator...it could be bad and eating your battery away.

here how:
loosen up the positive side of your battery but keep it on with enough tension so the car will start.
then jump start your car if it cant already start by itself with the battery still connected
once the motor is up and running take off the jumper cables if you had to jump start it and pull off the positive connection to the battery
if your car dies then its your alternator going bad

this is just to help eliminate your problems with power loss as in your lights dimming...

and again some of your explanation is not clear like your tac jumping up? as in your idle jumped up?

you can also check your distributor, spark plugs and wires.....
