how would you know if you have a bad tie rod??
can you tell if you have a bad tie rod just from driving?? also the outer tie rod is easy to change but it's the inner that got me. any suggestions??
thanks
thanks
One suggestion to check if it's bad is to move the wheel back and forth at a stop. If there is a bit of play and/or a knocking type of sound occuring, there is a possibility your tie rod is shot. You could also jack up one side of the car and see if there's any play in the wheel that's off the ground. Try this on both sides to determine what tie rod could be bad. Hope my shitty explainations are enough information for you.
Do you suspect a bad tie rod? If so, why?
Usually, you go from symptom to cause. It's doing (or NOT doing) this... to... maybe it's the so-in-so. A bad tie rod would be a cause. What's your symptom?
