Default oil pan studs,torque?handtighten?

i need to put new oil pan studs in my block. i was wandering if i just hand tighten them in and then put the pan on and torque the nuts, or do i have to torque the studs down?

I've never done oil pan studs, but I know head studs like ARP ones, you just hand tighten them. Then torque the nuts of course. Put a little oil on the threads before you screw them in.

Thanks, J
