Would having an A4 gasket effect compression?

Would a H22A4 head gasket effect the compression?

wont effect compression.

Always use the gasket for the block. The heads are the same (on the bottom)

Okay, that one problem solved. the shop is telling me there is no spark and the compression 92/100/100/100 before doing a leak down test. I purchased a new Dizzy and coil but still no spark.

Yeah, that compression is extremely low. Which ecu are you using? Your original from the a4 or a JDM one? Any CEL?

The original! I keep hearing different stories from them so I don't know if they are the actual numbers. 1 week ago I was told that the head was good, and the only thing that was wrong with it was bent valves.

I would presume bent valves could produce numbers like, so that could be the only problem. However, you have to pull the head anyway to replace the valves and re-machine the head and valve seats, so you're going to replace the hg anyway, so that is kind of a mute point, but at least you know that you might have to replace a few valves too.

As far as no spark, have they tested the leads at the coil to make sure there is signal coming from the ECU? how about testing the coil wire to the dizzy (not while running!) and all four of the plug wires? was it a known good dizzy?
