Default Viper 5900 help!!!

i tried accessing the learn routine of the car. according to the manual, the siren will "chirp" 3 seconds after holding the valet button after being pressed once. no chirp at all.

now, the car doesnt chirp at all when being armed or disarmed. it was working properly before.

what is the problem? i want my learn routine back. please help

is there such a thing as a master reset for the alarm?

When the learn routines have previously been programmed using an optional hand-held system programmer (p/n 998T) or PC Interface module, they may have been locked.
Before proceeding with reprogramming the learn routines, they must be unlocked with either the 998T or the PC Interface module -
this cannot be done manually with the Valet switch. page 31 of install guide.

What is it you want to do? 94

it seems like the system has went into a "permanent silent mode"

the learn routine works, all the functions work as to my knowledge.

only thing that doesnt work is the "chirp" during arming/disarming/warn away

the chirp option is ON in the learn routine setting

how can i fix this problem if it did in fact go to a permanent silent mode? i looked everywhere in the manuals but did not find anything. thanks

Do you have the install guide?

System programming starts on page 40... http://www.directeddealers.com...t.pdf menu#1 - basic features [1-2] 94

yeah full horn still works. the car does not have a siren, just the oem horn

the installer said he might have to program the alarm to use the horn for both full tirgger siren and the "chirps"

how is this possible? can i do it myself?
