it's just natural progression, guys. jdm-clean was some people's answer to the big wings and kits of the ricer days. and now that jdm-clean is everywhere and anywhere, rust-buckets are now other people's answer to the sea of clean/jdm rides that are now the norm. it doesn't suck, it's just different. aren't you guys sick of seeing the same cars all the time? sucking on each other's pee pee because he has a k swap and a tuck and a cusco cage? i embrace diversity, personally, but hey we're all different. flame away children!

Isn't the hood the OP posted just unpainted fiberglass?

To each their own.

Rusted hood, diy lip, and hammered out fenders.

It looks like rat rods are comming back with our civics..

i wouldnt call it a VW trend. Hotrodders have been building rust buckets since the 50's. I'll take a rusted out blown t-bucket any day, however replacing a perfectly good hood with a rusted one just doesnt make much sense to me.

Interesting trend, but not my thing.

Call me old fashioned but I like my cars clean, waxed, and shiny.

Fine, I'm bringing neons back, taking a bat to my doors, bashing out my windows, and going to the junkyard for a new RUSTY hood and hatch!!! SICK!!!

It looks like garbage, plain and simple. People need to quit trying to be so "unique"
