I am building a DA integra time attack car and I need more power. The problem is I am on a very limited budget, less than 1000 or so. I have 2 options right now. I have a high compassion b20 vtec that spun a bearing that I might rebuild. The problem is I took the lma's out so that is just adding to the cost. I think it would take around 1500 to get it back together right.
Now for the second option. Buy a cheap ebay turbo kit and put it on the ls motor that's in the car. I don't know much about turbo's, whats good or bad. I found this kit

I want some input what you guys think about it. I know its not going to be the best, but im looking for a compromise. What kind of power would this kit make on a stock ls motor? Thanks for the help...

It says 485 hp kit on the website....
Ebay kits generally suck, they won't have any reliability. The parts are cheap and built with shitty parts. Moreover, that kit probably doens't have EVERYTHING you need, and after a tune and other stuff will still be around the $1500 range, which could potentially blow up at any point.
Usually it costs a min of $5,000 for a somewhat reliable build.
I'd personally rebuild the B20 and stay all motor and keep your reliability.

The price is laughable. For $785, you could barely get a new, reliable, name-brand turbo. Hell, mine was $1300!
Ebay turbo kits like this are made from cheap materials and are poorly replicated from current parts. The kit is basically a big pile of junk. Keep your money and invest in a good turbo setup...you'll thank yourself later
