Default 1987 INTEGRA D16a1 question following to the price of it.

i did a test drive on this car and i noticed the speedometer is spinning around when i drive and the engine is leaking oil, the guy said that all integras during that year has that oil leakage, and i was wondering if that's true to any 87 integra owners out there. he said the best he can offer for the car is 1400, is that a good deal?

I wouldn't buy it. 1400 for an 87? i payed 1100 for my 91,and im in san jose. Keep looking out there, you'll find something better and stay away from oil leaks.

Holy ****...NO.

So your going to pay $1,400 for a 21 year old car? Are you planing on leaving the oil streak back to your house so you know how to go and get your money back?

lol he lowered it to 1000, but it seems fishy because the ad was posted at 1800.

It's not uncommon for a 20 year old car to leak oil, but the price should reflect things like that. Also, what exactly was the speedometer doing? Personally, I think $1k is too much. $750 at the most of the body is clean and the interior doesn't stink

ya 750 sounds more reasonable for it. The car does seem fish. It sounded like would have had to put more money into it fixing it up

Save your money. Sounds like the car is in bad shape, especially with him dropping the price like he did. You will probably end up spending a bunch of money right off the bat to get the car somewhat reliable.
