Default Help with Factory Stereo Removal

Hi All,

My gf replaced her battery and so her factory stereo needed to be reset on her 2003 Honda Accord Coupe. Unfortunately, she did not get the code when she bought the car used. So, I wanted to see if there were any steps (along with pics preferably) on how to remove the stereo so I can give the Honda Dealership the serial in order to get the code.

I searched through regular and archived threads but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

go to honda and show proof of ownership and they should give it to you free of charge. if they charge find out the dealership that originally sold the car and try giving them a call.

pulling a radio code is 1.0 of labor. try (1)turning power off of the radio. (2)hold preset buttons 1 and 6. (3)turn power on the radio. you "should" get an 8 digit code. now go to the dealer and give them the serial # and they "should" give you the code

Hi there, No reason to remove to get your serial number just hold the 1 & 6 preset buttons down at the same time. While holding them down push the stereo on button. Release buttons. Your serial number will show up on your screen.
