If you've got an SH than you may want to go Type S simply because you've already got all the ATTS parts

if youre referring to the f20b, it makes 200hp and 145tq. the h22 in your sh makes 200hp and 160tq. you can do basic bolt ons to your engine and gain as much power (if not more) than a prelude type s motor which is 220hp and 163tq. i would just put some cams in it, fpr, get hondata and have it tuned well

dont buy ANY h22 just based on factory hp numbers. if you dont care about having an lsd, just go with a jdm h22a. take it from me, i went through the same thing you are going through 3 years ago.

Type S.
You'll have certain emissions issues with the EuroR unless you swap to OBD1, then you won't be able to use ATTS.
If yo do that, then you might as well get the EuroR tranny and ECU as well.

euro r is a more bang for your buck swap. h23vtec w/ lsd shorter geared tranny. it is a more expensive and rare motor but its worth it.

The Euro R in my opnion is over rated. The complete Euro R swap will run about 4 grand from an average of sourced parts.

The complete JDM swap will run about 2k for an average of sourced parts.

Get the JDM COMPLETE JDM swap if you want. The M2B4 tranny comes with the LSD. And use the other 2 grand you were going to spend for mabey 15 more ponies and put that into a fulley built head and upgraded bolt ons. Then Tune, and you are looking at way more bang for your buck there.

Just my opnion.

I don't have anything to contribute except to say that drugs are my anti-drug.

my anti drug is the fact that pirate's anti drug is drugs... its rather poetic. Do the H22 with the euro r IM, for the money get the euro r also machined by rosko and have a super dope euro r ftw!

Acidcrakker hit the head of the nail with that one. I have a JDM H22 with the M2B4 tranny making about 200whp with a full exhaust, skunk2 I/M and a whistledick intake.

It'll definately be cheaper to buy a H22 instead of going the Euro R route. The only main differences are the I/M and the stroke.

Yeah, I agree with Pirate. ^_^

If your going to to build the motor, get a Jdm H22 with Lsd trany, obd1
- have a Euro R Manifold put on from Rosko
- Send the head to be ported with a set of pro 2's
- hondata

BUT- personally.. I wish I could just have the Euro R. The transmission alone is enough to attract me.

Except the stroke is the same, the cams are different, the compression is higher, the T2W4 has shorter gears than the M2B4, see debate on what kind of diff you get with the M2B4 as well....although last I checked Pirate was certain that it was a gear type...I think.
