New Civic seats in an R?
Just checked out the new Civic SiR (Canada) and the seats are made of the same material as the R but the shape is very nice and supportive. I figure this would make for a very stock-looking appearance while improving comfort and adding a bit of flair. Anyone know if these things will fit?
Two of the four bolts will line up. The easeiest way to make these fir is to use the front two stock holes (bolts are the same). For the rear holes. You will need to weld a small (.25" thick or so)plate to the underside of the raised floorpan rail structure(underside of the car is best). Place the seat in the car and bolt the fronts in and this will become more apparent. We just put RSX-S seats in a DC2 a few months ago (RSX seat frame=new Civic seat frame). Good luck! - Should look pretty sick, just don't forget to remove the red upper plastic "hole" trim and paint it black....it looks like a clown car w/ it in red IMO!
im gonna try it this weekend i told my girl im jacking the seats form the si to see how they fit in the R . . . . they look like they will be a bit off though, i just looked at the rails last night.
