Default Daily Drivable Spring Rate // Koni/GC

I'm riding on koni yellows with Eibach Sportlines. Looking to do the entire koni/Gc Extended Top Hat. I do NOT track, drag, or race the vehicle. I do drive it 'hard' on the streets daily. I feel the sportlines a tad bit too soft in corners. I plan on doing some auto cross this up coming summer. What spring rates would be recommended? Or am i better of riding on the sportlines?

You might be best served with just a simple rear swaybar upgrade. This won't reduce daily comfort nearly as much (if at all) compared to much stiffer springs (which you'd get with GC sleeves) and would probably be cheaper.

After you've gained some auto-x experience, know how the car behaves and what specific behavior you want to change, then consider moving to GC sleeves and custom rates. Once you get them, you'll want a nice rear swaybar anyway, so might as well start there and see if it is adequate for your needs currently.

I never thought of a swaybar. Will i gain a noticeable difference in cornering with-lets say- ASR brace and ITR sway?

I went from no swaybar on my 00 Civic EX to the ASR brace + ITR sway bar, and the difference in cornering was night and day.

It actually turned instead of trying to go straight and wide still.

Riding on Bilstein HD's and Sportlines as well.

I was considering switching to Koni Yellows and custom rate GC's, but opted to go the swaybar route instead figuring it would make the most difference. And I was right!

How tolerable are you with ride quality? I'd go with 10k/8kspring rates with a stock GSR (14mm) rear sway bar. I had this setup on my 99 Civic coupe and i think it handles pretty well. There's still a bit of understeer but i think its a good setup to start with. What i'd prefer is a 12k/10k spring rates with a stock 14mm rear sway, you get a neutral handling car with out breaking your wallet with purchasing the ASR rear subframe package. The only downside with this setup is the ridiculously bad ride quality.

Another option i'd like to see is 10k/8k spring rate setup with the MFactory 19mm rear sway bar setup. I think this setup still is very tolerable on the streets and perfect for track use.
