i just bought a set of ground controls (made for koni shocks) and a set of koni yellows. what's the best setting in terms of daily driving and spirited driving? this is on a 96 civic hatchback. what settings is everyone running?

your spring rates are really going to determine that, the koni's are so you can adjust dampening for the spring rates you chose.

I think it all depends on your springs really...I have 500s all around which is kind of at the limit for the konis valving. I have the konis tightened all the way and then a half turn back it feels the best for me, otherwise I just get a shitty ride bouncing everywhere. If you really want to have some fun tighen up the fronts all the way and soften the back ones. DORI DORI....yeah i've been drinkin

I ordered 330's in the front and 450s in the rear because I also heard that ~500 lb springs is the limit for stock valve'd konis

they're both off the shelf rates. i think the fronts are 340 and the rears are 250.. somewhere around there

also, should i get the extended top hats from ground control too?

Depends on the drop. The extended hats give more suspension travel when you're dropped low. They won't fit the front if you have a type-r strut bar.

I have the top hats in the rear but, I run it pretty low.

550F/350R

On the track I get oversteer when the tires are cold and neutral steer when they warm up. Unless you have LOTS of track time, I can't recommend more spring in the back or even equal rates F/R. Normal street driving, you won't notice it but, in emergency situations, that's a recipe for spinning out.

i won't be any lower than a one finger gap all around. should i still get the extended top hats?
