Review of Hawk HPS Brake bads.
Just put in about 80 miles with the Hawk HPS pads and I love them. Comparing against stock Honda pads, they brake just like oem at first but when you press a little harder, they bite! Really easy to modulate and seems like a good solution for a street performance oriented pad. I will probably try the Hawk HP+ pads next and see how much better they are
The other alternative (and I think the HP Plus is a good compound), is the Axxis Ultimate, which has notably less dust, is rotor friendly, and also runs quiet, but can still withstand light to moderate track use (fade free to nearly 1000F), and has 15-20% more braking torque than OEM pads (it is similar to the HP Plus in terms of braking torque, but gives up a little bit in terms of initial bite).
