Default Review of Hawk HPS Brake bads.

Just put in about 80 miles with the Hawk HPS pads and I love them. Comparing against stock Honda pads, they brake just like oem at first but when you press a little harder, they bite! Really easy to modulate and seems like a good solution for a street performance oriented pad. I will probably try the Hawk HP+ pads next and see how much better they are

Give the HP+ a try, they are great for street, autocross, and lite track use. Just a little more dust, but worth it.

The other alternative (and I think the HP Plus is a good compound), is the Axxis Ultimate, which has notably less dust, is rotor friendly, and also runs quiet, but can still withstand light to moderate track use (fade free to nearly 1000F), and has 15-20% more braking torque than OEM pads (it is similar to the HP Plus in terms of braking torque, but gives up a little bit in terms of initial bite).

Honda-Tech.com members receive a 15% discount on Axxis Ultimate brake pads until the end of August from Cobalt Friction Technologies. We are proud to be a Honda-Tech.com sponsor, with many satisfied Honda-Tech.com customers!

Axxis Ultimates
Working well for me, I'd probably not use anything else.
