97 GSR into 94 LS swap question
I am swapping in a complete 97 GSR motor and tranny into my 94 LS..i am using the 97 harness to go with it but i noticed that on the passenger side shock tower the GSR harness has 4 connectors while the LS had only 3. the extra connector is a 3 wire connector. what is that extra connector for? also the previous owner of the GSR motor took out the stock dual runner manifold and swapped it for a AEBS instake manifold so now there are extra connectors that are not plugged. My question is how many extra connectors should there be?..Thanks in advance for any help and yes i already tried doing a search...
Not positive about obd ii 97 engine, but obd i gsr engine has vtec solenoid, vtec oil pressure, iab, and knock sensor. These wires and connectors will be missing from on an ls chassis. Rywire and Hasport both make sub harnesses for this swap.
If you do go with one of those, Hasport is more expensive, but the quality seems better. However, I've been using the Rywire sub harness w/o problems for over a year.
Also, are you using the obd ii ecu from the 97 gsr?

I am not a genious here, but I have done my fair share of swaps, and I honestly think it is for IABs, as it is not found on anything but gsr models in integras. The wire color appears to be the same, but as far as I remember '96 and up gsr have a three wire 4th plug, while '94 and '95 have a two wire fourth plug. That's the one issue I am having with saying it is for the IABs. I will see what I can find!

1)yellow/red
2)blue/red
3) white/red
if indeed these wires are for the IAB's then i will just forget about it since i am no longer running the stock manifold anyways
edit*
I actually did some wire researching and i think the blue/red is the CKF sensor wire and the white/red is the ckf sensor ground..if i'm right i dont need to worry about that since i'm running an obd1 p72...can someone confirm this info on the wiring?
