so i have a 91 dx with a b18b that has a auto manifold on it. the car is converted to multi port, when the car is running it makes a loud buzzing noise that you can hear very well, if i close the hole almost all the way in the TB that goes to the iac the idle comes down to normal and the buzzing stops? any one have any idea whats going on or heard anything like this?

 

no one can shine any light on this? i thought this was honda tech

 

First of all, what do mean by "close the hole almost all the way..." Is it close ALL THE WAY, or ALMOST=half and half close/open?

 

the more i put my finger over the iac hole the lower the idle comes down and the buzzing noise stops, and when i completely cover it it shuts off, im guessing its the iac , cleaning it will not fix it. it has got to be broken

 

Do you have an xtra one in good working condition? Try that...if that works, then the other one might have a plunger stuck w/ the spring...or like you said it's broken.

 

figured it out my iac was bad due to my tps not having the outside two wires switched around.
