Default issues during rear disc conversion

maybe you honda-tech guys can give me some assistance, i was doing a rear disc conversion on my 94 ex coupe and the "dog bone" (for lack of correct name) that connects the front of the trailing arm to the frame of the car had the head of the bolt snap off an that to my knowledge is for alignment adjustment on the rear could i weld whats left of that bolt to the frame of the car or will it cause crazy alignment issues???

i have tried to drill it with no luck what so ever even with the expensive bits.. i left the drum "dog bones" on there vs putting the ones that were on the disc conversion (92-95 4dr ex) if it matters what its from simply because i had broke one side and i didnt wanna risk the other if i didnt have to... please help that issue, exhaust and a front alignment are all thats keeping it from driving

your not supposed to remove them from the car. just from the trailing arm. because you did that you WILL need an alignment. your going to have to find a way to get the snapped bolt out from the underside of the chassis.

as for the different types, they are both identical hence why you leave them bolted to the actual car and just remove the bolts on the trailing arm. also while your at it, replace the trailing arm bushings. you just need to hammer them out and hammer them in.

thanks for the reply, short of trying to somehow cut the bolt and rethread it i cant see that happening... only reason i changed them was because of the advice from a local who did the same swap and his alignment was horrible till he switched them... i already changed all the bushings except the two that are on the bolts i cant get out... would welding it be too risky???

if I remember correctly, you can replace those bolts. I wanna say you can punch them through. and i believe there is a tool for it as well. Sorry I can be more of help, I've never had to do this before.
