mpfi swap code 16

Default mpfi swap code 16

i have a 90 hatch with the si mpfi swap. i had an injector go bad so i replaced them all now it will occasionally throw an injector code and start running like ****. i reset the ecu and it will run fine untill it decides to throw the code. help is greatly appreciated, i need to get home from school next weekend.

The code 16 only indicates an interuption in the electrical path for the injectors, and they terminate at the ECU. If it's a 'hard' failure, I don't see how resetting the ECU would fix that, and an intermittient problem shouldn't cause a prolonged performance issue.

so that means the problem is in the wiring correct ? the swap wasnt done by me and the bay looks like a rats nest

finally went through the rats nest and soldered all the connections now it runs even worse
could the resistor box possably be going bad?

for any body that was wonderin what was wrong it ended up being the main relay not any of the injectors or wiring

resoldered the main relay and she runs like a top

Thanks for the update. And, as you discovered, the main relay is part of the electrical circuit path for the injectors.
