Default car problems after mech looked at it

So I took my 97 prelude to the mech. yesterday and Had him try and fix my cel for a ect sensor but he couldent so I went and picked it up and it drove funny (had this problem before the mech looked at it so its not his fault.) here are the symptoms

When I started it, it idles funny and feels like its misfiring and when I give it gas after it is warmed up it dosent have the power right away to speed up almost like i have to floor it then there is a delay of 1-2 second before it goes.

what I have looked at so far . About two weeks ago I put a new fuel filter in it and it drove fine.then two days ago it start driving funny, last night I put new plugs in and it still does it. My next job is to change the dizzy but I it looks brand new. If that dont work I am looking at the wires. What do you think?
Am I missing anything else that I should check?

Usually when you change your fuel filter, its also a good idea to change your fuel pump and if that doesnt work maybe even your injectors

I have never heard that before to change your pump. On any car. That dont make sense cause you would be changing you fuel pump every other year?

i wouldn't think you'd have to change your pump either.. what do the cap and rotor contacts look like? For the egr cel, have you cleaned out the ports to that?

fuel pressure would be another thing to look at.
