which one is better? i havent really heard good things about drlled and slotted rotors, but i havent really heard much about powerslotted rotors at all. but i havent heard anything about it. i was either getting brembo or EBC...any suggestions?
I had a set of powerslot (cryo treated) rotors and I was happy with them. I think I bought them from http://www.buybrakes.com/
I could still make the pads (Hawk HPS) fade with them though. Going down a mountain road with about 1000lbs of sand in the bed. Never had any issues with them besides the fade that would the pads fault and me driving too agressively.
This was on my Tacoma TRD PreRunner. I was bored with the truck and felt it needed some bling.

Blank rotors, high performance pads, and good fluid is the ideal high performance set up.

Some members here have been happy with autozone/duralast rotors.
If you buy a really agressive high performance pad it is going to chew up the rotor. Rotors are wear items as well and they are going to wear even faster if you have some agressive pads. Chew up a brembo blank or chew up a cheap duralast blank and get the same performace.
Personally: I'm not too hard on my car and if I ever need new rotors they will be on my car for so long that the price difference would not matter to me.
But if I planned on tracking my car and I knew I was going to be toasting brake components I would go with the autozone rotors.
