Advancing timing- Pros and Cons?

Advancing timing- Pros and Cons?
How would I advance timing in my lude. And I would like to know the advantages of doing so. So far I have Exhaust and CAI. I am adding more as i go just very slowly. Next step is headers and possibly cams I don't know. I may sleeve it as well. My lude is an SH. Please help thanks in advance.
