Alpine CDA9856 gets louder to 22, then 23 is quieter than 22. WTF?
Does anyone know why this might be happening? It gets louder up to 22, then 23 is quieter than 22 and it starts coming back after that, so like 27~28 = 22
Is there a setting or configuration that I missed? I don't think it's a power issue because it gets louder than 22 but you just have to take it up past 27 or so to get there.
I know that "defeat" is off, and I think I checked through all of the other configs.
Any ideas?

nope...
But for the record most apline decks send the most uncliped audio output at vol 22-23 (depending on unit). Anything above that threshold is distorted signal.
So I would say 22 is the max for you.
