d16 runs hotter than normal
i have a d16z6. i recently swapped it in, in favor of another z6 i had. since the swap, i noticed the temp gauge was creeping up. so i started with the basic stuff,
fan is on a switch
thermostat was bad, so right now it does NOT have a thermostat
radiator is cleared, hoses, etc.
my temp gauge sits right at this level
C........m.l.l......H
if it does not have a t-stat, it shud be cooler than that.
for now it still has water instead of antifreeze for testing purposes(water is free, and less messy)
wat else cud be wrong that wud cause my temperature gauge to sit so high>?

-Why is the fan on a switch??? If the fan is not cycling as designed, your thermo switch is probably bad. You need to look up the specs on it and do a resistance test.
-Check the front of the radiator for debris build up. If the airflow is blocked, it won't cool.
-Pull the rad cap and look at the inside of the radiator cores for build-up. If the cores are blocked, it won't cool.

nah. i removed the heater core because it was leaking from the copper connectors(bent), so as for no i have no heater either. but even prior to rem oving it, it still ran at the same level.
