Default D16Z6 Head on my 92 DX

I'm poor, so I can't afford a swap. I do want some more performance though, so I'm considering putting a D16Z6 head on my 92 DX (D15B7 right?). My question is this, what all do I need. I've searched around and read some guides, but am still not 100% sure what all I need. I know I need the head (obviously) but there are some other things I'm not sure about. For example, distributer... Do I need a distributer from a D16Z6 as well? What about ECU, do I need a D16Z6 ECU? From what I've read it seems like I don't have to have the ECU, but if I don't I have to get a VTEC controller of some sort. Is this true? Is there anything else I need? The last thing I want to do is get all the parts together and then realize halfway through I need something else. Also, how hard is this installation? I'm fairly good with cars, but I'll admit I've never tried anything this in depth. If I get a Helms manual and follow the online guides I found should I be okay? It doesn't require any customization right? From what I read it sounds like it just bolts right in more or less.

P.S. Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to get everything out there at once.

Do I need a distributer from a D16Z6 as well? Not sure, I'd guess no

Is there anything else I need? The last thing I want to do is get all the parts together and then realize halfway through I need something else. Also, how hard is this installation? not to hard as long as you don't break off any bolts, need tools and a new gasket

I'm fairly good with cars, but I'll admit I've never tried anything this in depth. If I get a Helms manual and follow the online guides I found should I be okay? should be fine-we got your back

It doesn't require any customization right? From what I read it sounds like it just bolts right in more or less. yep, I've never done it but thats what people say

i'm pretty drunk right now...so i'll try my best.

remove and install the new Z6 head per helms...

get some vtec plugs and wire froma junk yard or a freind and run though the firewall and pin them into the ecu harness...

get a p28 (stock vhip) and plug them ***** in

use a D16z6 dist and intake mani w/injects.

your DX tb is the same size as the Z6's so ur cool there.

you should be set...its very simple and straight forwareed.

What do you mean by vtec plugs and wires?

So I need to get a D16Z6 distributer, intake manifold, and injectors as well?

Here's a link for some good info on this subject:

http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/z6swap/z6swap.html

Info is for 4G civics/CRXs, but will apply to our D15 engines.

HTH!

Are there any difference in instructions between those and ones for my d15b7?

I'd still really appreciate an exact list of the parts I need. So far this is the list I've compiled, feel free to add/delete if necessary.

1. D16Z6 Head
2. D16Z6 Intake Manifold
3. D16Z6 Distributer
4. P28 ECU (and/or VTEC Controller)

What about belts, gaskets, etc...?

get the Z6 head, dist., ECU, VX timing belt, intake manifold, use your throttle body.

Add 2 wires for the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch.

You will also need a adjustable cam gear to properly reset the cam timing which will be off 1/2 tooth on the 1.5L block.
