Which would you choose? 91 CRX SI w/swap or stock 92 Si hatch
I have a bone stock black 92 Si hatch and a bone stock black 91 CRX Si. However, the CRX's engine is shot and needs to be replaced. I'm tight on funds right now and I can only choose to mod one of the two cars. If I sell the hatch, I can swap a B16 into the CRX amongst other things while if I sold the CRX, I wouldn't have enough to do a swap on the hatch..maybe just some boltons. Which would you guys pick and why? Here are some pics I've borrowed from other people's posts to give you guys a visual.

I'd say the 92 is an awesome car to have.
The 91's are getting out-dated, and IMO are a lot worse looking than the 5th Gens.
If it was a 92 CX, VX, or DX without a swap, I'd say take the CRX, but since the Si has the D16Z6 I say you go for that one.
It's your money and car man. I'm just giving my advice.

Keep the opinions coming guys...just to let you know. I used to own an 88 CRX Si w/JRSC, then I had a 93 DX coupe and this is my 3rd 5th Gen Si hatch.

You must choose, but choose wisely. I would personally choose the H/B because of so many aftermarket parts for this car. Every motor just about bolts in without a mount kit, the ones that don't bolt in need the mount kit though(H22).
keep the hatch man. 92-95 hatchs just look alot better IMO. They are newer too. I agree rexs are getting old. You can do so much with the hatch.
Or sell both of them and get a 92 cx or vx
and swap in a motor. LS swaps are cheap. Or swap in a z6, those are dirt cheap. Si's are alot heavier and you will be alot faster with a cx/vx/dx. But if you like all the luxury stuff on the si then keep it.
just my 2 cents.

I'd keep the CRX because it is lighter and easier to make it faster
However, if I wanted a daily driver I'd sell the CRX, sell the Si hatch and find a decent CX/VX/DX...then save for a swap. Si's are a little heavy
Both are nice looking cars however!

lol, I have two EG hatches, but I would love to have a B16 (or even a B20) CRX!
really, that CRX looks sick, if you dropped in a B16 it wopuld be pretty sick... and you can swap in a B20 later on when you have some more funds.
92 Si (no swap) with bolt ons =
CRX Si with swap and lookin' good =

And for you people saying the CRX is too old. The CRX is a 1991, the hatch is a 1992. Last time I checked, that would make the CRX 1 year older.
how many sets of rims u got? i see two different sets on ur crx and a set on ur hatch...**** im running on vx rims...oh and to answer ur question...hatch...like lotta guys said crx is too OLD...not that its a bad car...just too old
the '92 civic si.
parts are alot cheaper to get and find. most of it is changable all the way to '00.
whereas the crx are becoming rare to find.
I'd keep the CRX, but only if it's in good shape. If it's starting to rust out or anything, then I'd get rid of it.
Hell, sell the hatch, swap into the CRX and you should still have a bunch of money left to put in the bank. Plus, you have to consider that the hatch would bring more money since I assume it's running right and the CRX is about blown up.
