Default Need help with 1989 prelude si

Car sometimes dies at red lights and will start back up as soon as i start it back up. Also when i shift to a higher gear the car willnot go anywhere intill i tap the gas a few times and then it starts to go but sometimes doesnt and it just dies. also when im going around a corner and i down shift it does fine but comeing out of the corner it almost dies like im in too high of a gear when im in first and it dies and i have to start it back up. some of the intake tubing is off cuz who i bought it from took it off. im not sure how it goes back on but ill figure it out. could it possible be cause by the intake not properly togther or could it be and o2 sensor. please help. thanks kodi please email me the solution if you can. wardkodiyahoo.com

could also be the transmission. when was the last time you checked that?

the transmission seems fine it holds gears and has a tight clutch. The fuel pressure is fine. i pinch off the fuel line fron the filter to the motor and it still ran. but it seems to have problems with th fuel. it will drive for a little and then start acting up. you can here the air filter trying to pull more air in but it still wont go and then it will kick in whe you play with the gas pedal.
