I am new to the forums, I have a ls/vtec turbo and I'm wanting to replace my axles. This car is my daily driver and street driven. Anyone have any suggestion on what axles are good?

 

How much HP are you putting to the ground?

OEM axles are probably still a good choice.

 

right now I'm roughly around 260 or 270 on a stock motor, I'm going to be doing at least a bottom build but would like to fully build. I'm looking for over 400 hp. Right now i'm axle boots? are broke and its slinging grease and the inside of my front wheels. I was gonna go ahead and replace them.

 

if this car is just a daily, I would get the axles with a lifetime warranty from your local parts store (autozone, csk, napa, etc), but if this will see any time at a drag strip, I would get some drive shaft shop axles that are appropriate to your power level (DSS 2.9)

 

oem are best, they can take up to and over 500hp if your using a iner spung clutch. When you start using solid center ones you will be breaking them around the 200hp mark.
