Setting Timing on 95 LX
I want to check the timing on my 95 LX single cam. What is the spec ? Also what causes it to go out of spec ? Also what is the procedure ?

Timing goes out due to timing belt wear, spark plug gap wear, distributor cap and rotor gap wear, timing gear wear. Most of these can be corrected with a tune up and a belt adjustment if its manually adjustable.

Beyond all the link postings; look for the 3 marks that are all together on the crank pulley, the middle mark should have red paint under all the dirt and crud.
Line up the pointer and the red mark at normal idle and you are in time.
