Default Resurfacing crossed drilled and slotted

Is it possible to resurface crossed drilled and slotted rotors? I've went to different places and they wont do them for me. Is there something I should be aware of?

I don't know of any shop that would turn them on a brake lathe as it would break their cutting bit. However, you MAY find a shop that resurfaces flywheels that would do it. Whatever cuts it has to have a rotary head so it doesn't catch in a hole or groove.

Most shops dont resurface stuff like that, really isnt much risk if they knew what they were doing. If you use a new cutting bit, a normal lathe will cut them no problem.

I've done it but the trick is to cut it in small increments and at the slow speed so it dosn't break the bit.

I've had mine done at pep boys once, no questions asked. Although I did call a few other places that said they don't do it.

we do it all the time. cuts just like any other rotor. on-car lathes are always the best. compensate for runout
