Default help with buying new car

Ok well, the old Ludeski blew a head gasket, its not too bad, caught it early (coolant developed a leak which led to overheating = cooked HG) Also the throw bearing on the clutch is squeaking its nuts off so I'm selling it and looking at buying a Mr2 Turbo thats for sale around here. The engine was professionally rebuilt, everything from brakes and rotors to the soft lines replaced with steel braided. This kind of sketches me out a bit, so i was basically wondering what all i should ask to assure that this work was done correctly and that this car is gonna last. I know all the basics to look for and ask about but being as the engine and a large amount of other major and minor components were rebuilt/replaced I'd like to go in with as much knowledge as possible to make sure i don't buy a motor that was blown up and then just put together to just make it able to sell but not last.
