i pop v tec and it idles @ 2k i tapped the iacv n it slightly goes down how do i clean it or need new one

either your throttle cable is too tight, or you need to open up your fitv and screw in the big white thing all the way.

 

well i checked all that everything is good. but some one told me to tap the iacv with a ratchet or screwdriver n see if the rpm drops it did so im guessing its dirty.. for some weird reason everytime im driving its good once my v tec pops if im off gear it just revs up to 2k wont go up or down even if i adjust the throttle....

 

then go clean your iacv, doesn't hurt, and while its drying, go unbolt your fitv and screw the damn thing all the way in, dont strip the screw though, its made of plastic.
