ls swap bogs at 3000rpm and shuts off
i just swapped in a b18a in my 96 ek, it starts up and everything stays on but soon as i press the gas it revs up to 3000 rpm and shuts off or bogss out crazy and tries to cut off, im using a step down to obd1 ls ecu, everything stock wat might be the problem, and also i bought a gasket for the tb cuz i thought it might be that but for some reason the only gasket thats fits the tb is the h23 gasket idk why.
so your using an OBD1 PR4? if the motor is a B18A1 thats originally obd0 so when swapped into your originally obd2 car...what engine harness did you use??
OBD: on board diagnostic system. your car has a way of telling you something is [freak]ed up. your Honda manual will explain to you how to check it and what each code detects.

then thats the problem. wrong wire harness. even if the plugs are the same they are wired up differently. you need a OBD1 b18B1 engine wire harness if your wanting to keep using the obd1 B18B1 ECU. your ecu isn't picking up ****. your ecu is programmed with an override / backup computer and even with that its struggling to even simply start up. you want to get an OBD1 B18B1 engine harness asap (1994+ DC4 Integra). that should do it.
but that integra harness wont fit on the ek obd2 style one clip piece being that it goes directly to the ecu and the integra has a 3 piece clip style. it starts up fine revs to 3 grand dies or dies soon as you give gas but if you leave it it stays on fine.
i checked the codes its only throwing a iac valve code but it was always doin that since i never changed that, they said it might be a vacume leak, can it be off timing, but it starts first turn of the key no hesatation
