Default New Plugs Make a World of Difference...

Installed NGK Platinum plugs (PFR6G-11) and it made a big difference in the smoothness in my engine. They definetly took the edge off - idle is smooth and acceleration is like butter...

Question: What is a good schedule to change these out? Owner's manual says 60,000, mine had 37.000 on them and I want to change them more often...

(I tightened them till they seated and then 1/2 more turn...sound right? How exact do you have to be on these things?)

every 15K if you got the money. Thats the sgT recommended way to tighten them. dont want them too lose or too tight.

many people run copper plugs and change them out around the 10 or 15k mark. Coppers will do just as good of a job at less cost.....the platinums are moreso for the companies to support the whole "lubed for life, 0 maintenance" thing.
