Default Looking for a loud exhaust.

Hi. I had a 97 civic dx, got it in feb, it got stolen out of my driveway in august.
Got a new one
same year and model and on my old one i had a magnaflow catback exhaust system, with the huge 4 inch tip on it, it had a good sound but it just wasnt loud enough.

i want to know what a good loud one is but one that doesnt have that tin can weedwhacker sound to it.

Thanks

How about running an exhaust cut out? In the city, have it normal and stay nice and quiet. Then at the track, or if passing by your ex's house, open it up and shatter eardrums.

Just cut holes in your exhaust.

i used to want my car loud, now that its loud i hate it..
but if you really want it loud do the following :
Punch out the catalytic converter and run a test pipe (make sure you remove all of the coal with platinum in it and the round wool like fabric),then weld a pipe through it.,replace resinator with pipe
and no muffler (if its OBDI) but while your at it go ahead and remove the heat shields bc mine rattles. im removing the last 2 headshields this afternoon and getting 06 civic muffler put on some time next week i hope it muffles a good bit.

custom exhaust FTW if your expecting power from aftermarket exhaust
your slightly mistaken..besides, if you got connections at a muffler shop its alot cheaper

so your not looking for power but just an exhaust thats loud so people can notice that its you when you coming around the block, and think that your car is fast because its loud? why not just hit the muffler shop and have them put on a cherry bomb muffler on your shock exhuast.

That's what I was going to say. Buddy Club Pro Spec II. It's pretty much a race exhaust, it's super loud and looks killer.

Go to an exhaust shop and get a wide empty pipe all the way back. It's not hard to achieve earsplitting sound without gaining performance in a stock Honda.

Why? It's really just a $400 pipe with a performance purpose resonator (more for keeping mid range torque than sound reduction) and no muffler. You'd be better off saving the money and just piping it at the local shop. You can get a real resonator too if you want to try to limit the raspy sound.
