does anyone have any clue how to ship a motor out of state, across the state?
i am sorry if this is on the wrong thread,
but its an 99 Si b16a2 motor for my brother in Florida, while i reside here at CA.
i tried with postal service and they gave me an answer of something exceeding that weight and size will be at most of $1k shipping! i was like W T H!?
and UPS would accept it by them picking it up while that fee is $60 + shipping it is another $300 + insurence/ reliablity is like another $30 and....
... i still dont see if that is worth it!
any help gladly appreciated! thanks!

I would ship it UPS, since Fed Ex seems to have a problem with handling packages gently, at least when they deliver to my work, and the post office is a ripoff if they're sending anything larger then a letter.
If both of you have Greyhound stations nearby, you can ship something up to 100lbs fairly reasonable. I was going to get a ZC DOHC from a guy in Cali, until he expected me to pay shipping on it and to ship a Y8 shortblock to him. (expletive)ing *****.
