That looks fishy that they would cut the rear seats up and not take the motor. Prepare to be investigated by the insurance company fraud department.
It looks like someone wanted new wheels and interior.

actually, thats not my motor........i didnt actually get to go look at it, my dad and my sister did, they are the owners of the car.... the tow guy said thats its not the original motor from the car.

Wow, judging by the picture the thieves took the motor and replaced it with another b-series.
Tow truck drivers don't know squat about cars. They just drive...
I would say it was either made to look like a joyride.....or the thieves knew what they wanted and then slashed the stuff up to make it look like kids.

Sometimes I just don't understand why would they (thieves) steal the engine/wheels and waste their time to put another engine/steel wheel (spare tires in this case) on the stolen car?
anyway, sorry for your lost....

i doubt thats another motor. i'm pretty sure thats your motor.
why would a theif waste his time putting another motor in? especially a b-series?
if they really wanted to waste their time doing that, they'd put in a d-series or something.
and i doubt they'd put it back in so clean with the airbox in tact.

maybe they were practicing their swapping skills
but seriously, the moron probly thought it was a different motor b/c the plug wire cover was gone, or some other stupid miscellaneous parts...
so sorry for you, i know how it feels to have **** stolen/vandalized off my car. its one of the reasons i ended up selling my Si.

few months ago some people stole a civic SIR or SI in US. took the motor and swap in a D series motor..
they took everything.
it was bad.
some people stole the car to complete the swap..
those are NASTY..

Thats definately the original motor. They just stole the car, took some interior parts, wheels, and lip and grill. Most likely your insurance will replace the stolen items as it wont add up to much. Unless of course there is damage that i cannot see.
edit*** looks like they did a good job on vadalizing the outside of the car. I have no idea what the insurance company will do. If they do total it however, i guess you could always keep the car and make it track only. Or sell the motor or something.

Those pictures look nasty.
A friend of mines Integra got stolen in NC and ended up lookin a lot like that...They left the motor as well - took the bling 19s that were on there...
Instead of cuttin up the back seats, they left a nice plastic bag full of crap (yeah, actual crap) where the front seat used to be...
I agree with everyone else - be prepared to be investigated by the insurance company. He was.
