Cant figure this one out, it is a 92 Civic LX that occasionally will have a difficult time starting...but only when its wet outside. It seems to get worse the longer it sits, but runs fine after it starts. Sometimes it will take 5 minutes and many attempts to get it started. You can hear the fuel pump prime, but?????

possible moisture inside the distributor cap or even deeper in and shorting out the coil.

 

In order, replace until fixed:
distributor cap
ignition wires
distributor rotor
spark plugs

Check the timing after replacing these.

If the problem continues, you have done nothing other than the tuneup required every few years, anyway.

Use only OEM parts. They are not that much more expensive and pay for themselves. Non-oem parts can make a big difference in how your engine performs.
