Default noob here

Before I get an ITR in the spring I have some questions I need answered. Im new to the whole import/JDM scene. Lately I've been looking at importing an ITR. Some of the questions I have-

1- Is engine internals the same as LHD? I ask because if I modify will I need different parts? (stupid question, but I dont really know).
2- What are a few of the leading brands? Like I said im not totally familiar with companies, but know Mugen is pretty good.
3- Anything I should replace right away? Some cars just have that 1 part that everybody recommends right away. Like the clutch for an Evo.
4- Is this a dc? click here/ I ask because it doesnt say type r, but it kinda looks like one.
5- Whats the difference between a type r and just a regular dc1?
Sorry about the newb questions, but I would really like to get into this scene.

I pretty much looked up and down that list and didnt really see much. I figured out dc1 is trash and I should get a dc2 (which i believe are type-r's?). I learned what the difference between ITR are to reg teg's are. Everything else is pretty much eh.

Are you referring to the link I posted? I realised its not afterwards. I want to know what the difference between dc2 ITR's are. I looked for it, but cant seem to find anything. Im assuming its just the body thats different on them.

Well, I'm not sure what a DC1 is but in N/A

DC2 usually refers to 94-01 Integra GS-R and 97-01 Type R w/ the DOHC B18C engine.

DC4 refers to the 94-01 Integra GS LS RS, DOHC Non-Vtec

Might be pretty noob of me but that's my first time seeing a integra w/ a SOHC engine. Exclusive to Japan only I presume?

THANK YOU! thats what I've been looking for. I used the search but most of what I found in the search for "dc2" brought up car check threads or "whats a good dc2 exhaust, ect" thread. Only question I have for now is whats the difference between http://www.gtr-jdmspeedpower.com/images/dc2001.jpg and http://www.allvehicles.co.uk/9879.jpg I mean I know ones JDM, yet they arnt the same?

I realised the car I linked to was a dc1, NOT a dc2 which is what I thought it was. I plan to buy an ITR in the spring, so I came here well in advance to learn.

Your first link shows a 96-97 JDM R. one of the main differences, obviously, is the front end. The second is the JDM R has a 4X114 4 lug suspension. the second link you provided is a UKDM model R which in that picture comes with a 5x100 5 lug suspension, and a front end that is similar to the US front end.

In my opinion, I don't believe you are ready to own an R, and I only say this because of the questions you are asking.

well I have til spring to learn. I still dont get why the front ends are different anyways. The JDM is the only car that has that one particular front end and it seems everything else is the other one.
