Has anyone run a chipped PR3 in an EF to run SOHC Vtec? All i've heard about running SOHC vtecs in EFs were you needed to convert the whole thing to OBD1 due to there not being an OBD0 ECU. But is there any reason you couldn't chip an OBD0 ECU to run it, or am I missing something really obvious here? Not looking to do, I just want to know if its doable.

When I chip it and use the d16z6 maps will this be an obvious change or is it something more intricate?
Guess I should get me an eeprom burner and tinker with it before I ask too many questions, I just want to have my head around what I'm looking at before I get into it...
You're post has been my my only real proof that this IS possible. You say you've seen it, is it possible it was the OBD1 version?
I hope it was 0... I don't want to find an OBD1 PR3 or a P28...

There were OBD1 PR3s as well, they came in '92 - '93 JDM integra Rsi's and Xsi's, just not as common and not often talked about. In my OP I was refering to the OBD0 PR3. The whole point of my original post was that I wanted to see if it was possible to run a D16Z6, or any OBD1 SOHC Vtec for that matter, properly without converting to OBD1. D-series swaps in EFs are simple and cheap, until you get the wiring portion of the swap, I know PR3s are somewhat hard to find, and will probably cost more than a P28, but I figure the ease of installation will offset that somewhat. This was really more than anything a "can this be done?" type question.
