Default 94 honda accord acting a little goofy and i need help

my car has two problems. one it is not starting properly. it is backfiring through the air intake and it just cranks. it sounds like it wants to start after a little while but it won't. And the second problem i am having is when i get to a half a tank of gas it starts to die out when i am coming to a stop or making sharp left or right turns. i have put in injector cleaner as well as the heet but the problem is still happening. i have done a full tune up on my car about a week ago and it did not solve the problem for the starting. i need help with this problem please. i need my car for work because i am a pizza delivery driver and my car is my living.

Usually, the intake backfire is an indication of distributor out of time (retarded).
Check that the fuel tank wasn't damaged in the past where the bottom had been pushed up. If you see no damage... when was the last time the inline fuel filter was replaced?

as far as i know the fuel filter has never been changed in the last four years. we attempted to change it but ran into a snag. and would that be the cause of it not wanting to start when it starts to get cold out side? i finally got the car started today but it took a lot of cranking for about 2-3 hours but it finally started and once the car is warm it fires right up. so i am confused about this whole thing.
