hi, i was wondering how can you tell if the head gasket is still ok? I just bought the 90 accord and at one point it overheated and so the previous owner bought a new radiator and now is working fine? Is it safe to keep a car that once overheated before?

 

Of course. As long as it wasn't driven from San Diago to Long Beach with no coolant, I'd be very surprised if any damage occured.
A quick check: As long as the associated fluids which reside in the engine stay where they belong, you're golden. if it doesn't skip and blow white smoke (steam) from the exhaust, you're golden.
