ok i know this is gonna sound offensive or dumb but i was at work and my coworker with the sti ask me what the hell does rsx mean anyways i froze up and i said to be honest i dont know lol. anyone have an idea what does it mean?
Nothing. Just like Honda names of the past. CRV, CRX, SLX, MDX, RDX, NSX, TSX all mean nothing. RSX was Honda's attempt to make the car's image appear more premium by using European naming ideology (numbers relating to engine size and letters for model vs. actual naming such as Integra. Such as when they renamed the Legend the 3.5 RL, then just RL, creating the 3.2 TL, which was based on the US Accord (JDM Inspire), which became simply the TL, etc.

Think about it. What does the Acura RSX have to do with "rally sport" at all?!
Actually Honda does have plenty of Rally cars. And they kick ***. Even outplacing plenty of AWD cars. Just check out the European Rally type R. They rally insight (awesome), etc. FWD rally is getting pretty crazy.
