can you chip a obd1 prelude ecu? p13
JDM chips don't work on USDM ECUs...and vice versa. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. P13's are relatively unchippable...
The US P13 can be chipped. There are several good programs out for the US P13. I used to have a Dinan-chipped P13 that I just recently sold. That ECU was a great improvement in my otherwise-stock 1993 Prelude VTEC that I used to own.

That's correct based on what I've been told too. For some reason, JDM P13 programs only work on JDM P13 ECUs and US P13 programs only work on US P13 ECUs.

Somehow they can't get to Stage 2 levels or use the interface box...weird.
I Reprogram ecus for both the jdm and usdm p13's. They are chippable.

Why can't Hondata do it?
sorry bout that! well the p72 isnt too bad. The reason why is the format is different on the p13 ecus they run a different board. The other b-series ecus are compatible with hondata because they are all on a similar platform. Hope that helps!
You must be confused here, Joel. You already knew the P13 was chippable. Yoshio will custom tune P13 chips if you want. Hondata still doesn't offer stage2 P13 systems, because it's not worth it to them.
