Default obd1 to obd2

does anyone make a harness for the ecu to convert from obd 1 to 2
im gettin my c5 swap but i want to use the type r ecu instead of chippin mine

i think all you have to do is change the distributor and injectors to type-r.

youll lose power. the swap wont be the same if its not obd1. your better off selling the ecu and getting an obd1 chipped.

You'd have to get someone to make the harness for you. No one sells them. Skunk2 makes OBDII-OBDI adapters. But no one makes OBDI-OBDII harnesses. I'm going the same route. I would only recommend it if you are going to do it for emissions purposes...

that's gonna be a pain in the **** because you're car doesn't have all the ODBII plugs. unless you're gonna switch out your whole wiring harness i'd advise you to just chip your ecu!!
